Uffizi Gallery tour
The Uffizi museum in Florence is probably the first thing that comes in mind once in Florence. Visiting the Uffizi museum is in fact a must in your vacation in this historical city. The story of the Uffizi Gallery began in 1560 by the famous architect Giorgio Vasari for Cosimo de’ Medici. The reason for the construction of the Uffizi palace was the creation of offices (and from here the name Uffizi) for the Florentine magistrates. One of the first intentions was also to create an area for the art collections of the Medici family. Over the years, the areas dedicated to art have grown to host masterpieces commissioned by Medici, so the museum grow in what we see today.
